Bosnian Civil War

I chose the Bosnian civil war because Bosnian Serb forces, with the backing of the Serb-dominated Yugoslav army, targeted both Bosniak (Bosnian Muslim) and Croatian civilians for atrocious crimes resulting in the deaths of some 100,000 people (80 percent Bosniak)

I Chose Bosnia because
Serbian forces and Bosniak civilians and women and boys. Serbian forces subsequently separated the Bosniak civilians at Srebrenica, putting the women and girls on buses and sending them to Bosnian-held territory. Some of the women were raped or sexually assaulted, while the men and boys who remained behind were killed immediately or bussed to mass killing sites

Lastly, I chose Bosnia because
5 February 6th 1994 Sarajevo News media and Serbian forces On February 6, 1994, the world's attention turned completely to Bosnia as a marketplace in Sarajevo was struck by a Serb mortar shell killing 68 persons and wounding nearly 200. Sights and sounds of the bloody carnage were broadcast globally by the international news media and soon resulted in calls for military intervention against the Serbs.

NIGERIAN CIVIL WAR

I chose the Nigerian Civil war because By the end of April 1969, after almost two years of bloody and destructive war, the envisioned quick victory had eluded the Federal side, the rebel enclave had been drastically reduced in size but the Biafrans were still holding on. More peace conferences were held but none achieved a cease - fire and an end to the war. The Federals embarked on a strategic envelopment of the remaining Biafran enclave. By the Christmas of 1969, it was obvious that the end of the civil war was near.

Also why I chose the Nigerian Civil war is because up to 30,000 Ibos were killed and one million refugees left their home land

Lastly I chose the Nigerian Civil war because the country was divided into 12 states in May 1967

AUSTRIAN CIVIL WAR

I chose the Austrian Civil War because The Christian social party leader and Austria chancellor was a catholic priest, Ignaz Seipel a strong government and in protecting Austria against Marxism

Next, I chose the Austrian Civil War because Austria Railroad workers In February 1933 railway workers in Austria went on strike. The government sent the army against them and arrested strikers. In parliament the Social Democrats and their opponents were deadlocked in debate over this issue. There was a procedural crisis, and Chancellor Dollfuss refused to dissolve his government although he lacked a majority in parliament.

Lastly, why I chose the Austrian civil war is because In 1927 in the small town of Schattendorf, on Austria's eastern border, Social Democrats were marching in a counter demonstration against a paramilitary group called the FrontKampfer Vereinigung. A barman and his son shouted insults at the Social Democrats and the marchers threw stones and tried to break into his pub. From the pub a shotgun was fired, killing two marchers, a child and a prisoner.
