CAUSE OF THE CIVIL/STATES RIGHTS

  • States had the right to limit the power of the federal government
  • States rights could be cause of the civil war because they wanted to limited the government power
  • So they would not have a lot of power so if the government try to give more tax they couldn't do it because they had little power

  • revolution most people in the north felt slavery was wrong

  • so he did something about it 
  • by running for president and stop slavery
