The outcomes of the Civil Rights Movement. Desegregation of schools, Voting Rights Act, and the Civil Rights Act.
Desegregation of schools was that blacks were not allowed to enter white schools. Otherwise they were quickly brought home.
The Voting Rights Act was signed by President Lyndon Johnson in1965. It outlawed the discriminatory voting practices in many southern states after the Civil War.
The Civil Rights Act of 1964. It was one of the most important civil rights laws in the history of the U.S. It ended racial segregation and outlawed discrimination. It also protected the voting rights of women.
This is important to us because this was a big road block in U.S. History. This topic interests us the most. It interests me the most because it's amazing how our world has changed.
