KEY PROGRAM CHALLENGE:

INCORPORATE MANY FUNCTIONAL ROOMS WHILE STILL ALLOWING FOR GENEROUSLY-SIZED PUBLIC AREAS.

SPACE PLAN STRATEGY: THE CENTRAL AXIS CORRIDOR

GRANDEUR OF COLUMNS FORMS EFFICIENT DOUBLE-LOADED CORRIDOR (EASE OF ACCESS FOR PATIENTS/STAFF).

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

TRADITIONAL COLUMNS PUT SPACE IN HISTORICAL CONTEXT AGAINST CONTEMPORARY DESIGN ELEMENTS.

WE AVOIDED SIGNIFICANT REPAIR COSTS OF THE COLUMN CAPITALS BY LOWERING THE CEILING JUST BELOW THEM.

COST-EFFECTIVE, STYLISH MATERIALS

INEXPENSIVE, BUT LUXURIOUS ITALIAN PORCELAIN FLOORING ENHANCED CONTEMPORARY FEEL AND KEEPS MAINTENANCE TO A MINIMUM.
