FUNDING

  • Funding for the churches came from wealthy
  • The lower classes had to stand or sit on ground

SERVICES

  • The services were extremely formal
  • The preachers were highly educated
  • They also used refined language
  • The congregation found it hard to understand

RULES OF THE CHURCH

  • Everyone was expected to attend some form of service
  • They were not allowed to speak before or after services
  • To be late to church was considered bad manners

  • Article 1: there is one true God
  • Article 3: Christ died and went to hell
  • Article 4: Christ eventually ascended to heaven
  • Article 16: not every sin after baptism is against God

  • 27: baptism is not the only way into the church
  • 15: Christ can not and does not sin
  • 12: If you donate to the church you will be seen better in Gods eyes
