Popular Sports

  • 75% of the students who took the survey plays sports.
  • Sports are very important part at CHS.

Boys Sports

  • Football was the most popular at 56%
  • Second was basketball at 20%
  • Third was baseball at 11%

Girls Sports

  • Volleyball was the most popular at 52%
  • Next was softball at 14%
  • Third was basketball at 11%

Awards
In 2011 we were one of a few programs to receive the exemplary athletic program award.

Sports we can add

  • First was Soccer at 36%
  • Second was Lacrosse at 20%
  • Hockey was third at 15%

Improvements

  • A major upgrade would be to redo the tennis courts.
  • Rachel Dingess- "The tennis courts should be redone so we can have home meets.”
  • Turf Football Field

Cassie Wentela: “I think it helps push students to keep their grades up so they can participate in the sports they enjoy.”

Negative
”Sometimes it's hard to finish homework on late game nights”-Keely Hammond

Indifferent
Emily Weaver: “It depends on the person. Some people do better in school if they are involved in sports because they need to be eligible to play or it helps them concentrate. For some it's a distraction and takes up a majority of their time which prevents them from excelling in school. ”

Constantine Falcon Athletics

  • More than 50% of the students at CHS play a sport.
  • Has its good effects on education. 
  • Installs a competitive thrive in the the student-athletes.
