Christopher Colombus
Christopher Columbus was born in 1451 in the Republic of Genova, Italy. His first trip into the Atlantic Ocean in 1476 nearly killed him.
Christopher had this idea to do a voyage that wouldn't have let him pay a lot to pass through so he tried to go around and try to avoided paying but instead of finding India he found a small part of America.
Christopher Columbus took off the 5 August 1492. He discovered America in 1492 12 October. He took off his journey at Palos De La Frontera and he discovered the San Salvador The Bahamas.
He left off with three ships called the Nina, Pinta and the Santa Maria the type of boats were called the Caravelle, with 90 seamen. The only boat that made to America was the Nina because the other two sunk.
