Christine Lagarde is one of the first female managing directors of the IMF. Even if she is a female, shes fulfills her role as a leader.

Part of her legacy is her commitment to equality for girls and women. On the issue of gender quotas, : "I have said it before and I will say it again. As a young women I used to be opposed to quotas but the harsh reality of working in a large international law firm changed my mind," she explained. In Europe she says the introduction of quotas for women on boards has "changed the landscape".

When asked at a conference by a young women about women working in law and economics, and if that Lagarde has any career regrets, Lagarde replied that she believes that women should pursue an education and to work very hard. It is not likely that anyone will have their live together when they believe it would be.

If I were to be in her position, I would do the same things she has done. Finding ways to improve the IMF, and also encouraging women in different countries to get an education and be able to work and have a nice lifestyle instead of having to stay home and take care of children.
