Christianity started in the 50s C.E.

The places of worship for Christians are churches, cathedrals, and chapels,and the day of worship is Sunday, but it is sometimes Saturday on special occasions.

Important Figures

  • God: God is the creator of Earth and all things on it, including humans.
  • Jesus is God's son. He was crucified by the Romans.
  • Paul: After Jesus died, Paul had a vision of Jesus.

  • Cross: the cross which Jesus died on
  • Fish: Jesus' apostles
  • 4 pointed star: Jesus' birth
  • Chi-Rho: Jesus Christ himself
  • Anchor: hope in Christ

Holy Days (Holidays)

  • Christmas: the birthday of Jesus
  • Easter: Jesus' resurrection
  • Good Friday: the anniversary of Jesus' crucifixion

Important Practices

  • Baptism: sprinkling a person with water to welcome him/her into the church
  • Anoiting of the Sick: the acceptance of death

Christians believe that God is the creator of everything, and that his son, Jesus, was born on Earth. The Romans later crucify Jesus. After Jesus dies, Paul has a vision of him and helps start Christianity.
