Introduction
Antarctica is one of the driest places in the world and has a one of a kind look. To begin with, it has nice and pretty animals. Next, there are not a lot of people there so that means it is quiet. Read on and learn about all of the interesting facts about Antarctica.

Where is Antarctica?
Hey! Wait! What if you don't know how to get to Antarctica. Stay here! I am going to show you how to get there. To begin with, the Atlantic Ocean borders north of Antarctica. Then Africa is to the north of Antarctica. Next, Australia is north of Antarctica. Now you know where Antarctica is. Don't go there yet. There are still more important things you need to know.

Weather
Do you know what the weather is like? To begin with, if you don't know get ready! Antarctica has deserts but it is the coldest place in the world. You would want to bring a heavy coat.

People
Antarctica has very few people living there. Scientists go to Antarctica to study. But when they come back they must share their learning. Scientists use balloons to help study the weather. Are you sure you still want to go?

Countries
You are not going to know where you are in Antarctica. You know why? If you don't know there are no countries. The United States owns the biggest research station. When it gets warmer about 1000 people live there. But when it gets colder about 250 people stay there. Make sure you bring a map.

Penguins
You might even see a penguin but don't get too close. To begin with, penguins can't fly but guess what they are a bird. Penguins' bills help preen themselves. Preen means to clean. The girl penguin only lays one egg. I hope you learned plenty about penguins.
