WHEN?

  • Cholera has dated back to the beginning of time.
  • Cholera boomed during the industrial revolution .
  • The industrial revolution made cholera popular.
  • Cholera was very dangerous.

WHERE

  • Cholera was basically everywhere.
  • Cholera was most common in the United States.
  • If you went to a factory back during the IR then every 1 out of 5 people might have cholera.
  • People still worked even if they had this diease.

CAUSES

  • Cholera is caused by a bacteria called vibrio cholerae.
  • Many living conditions were unsanitary for living.
  • People would be so cramped that if one person had cholera it was very likely to spread.
  • Water with cholera bacteria would be consumed and cholera would appear.
  • Cholera was most common in factories and slums.

PREVENTION

  • Stay away from people with cholera
  • Cook with safe and clean water .
  • Drink safe and clean water.
  • Cook food thoroughl.
  • Wash hands with soap and water.

BODYLY EFFECTS

  • It gives you diarrhea.
  • It makes you server lay dehydrated.
  • Possibly death could be caused.

SYMPTOMS

  • Dehydration
  • Rapid heart rate
  • Loss of skin elasticity
  • Muscle cramps
  • Thirst

ADVANCEMENTS

  • Doctors has basically cured cholera.
  • If you get the vaccine you are basically invincible from cholera.
  • Most people don't get cholera anymore only in third war countries basically.

DEATH TOLL

  • As of October 17, 2013, 684,085 cases and 8,361 deaths have been reported since the cholera epidemic began in Haiti.
