Treble clef
A symbol located at the beginning of staff to indicate the upper pitches. It is called the "g clef" because the symbol curve around the second line of the staff.

Bass clef
A symbol located at the beginning of a staff to indicate the lower pitches. It is also called the "F clef" because the symbol curve around the fourth line of the staff.
