CHLAMYDIA

INFECTION

• It is a bactirial infection
• Where its found;
• Reproductive system in both male and female
• rectum
• throat if passed through oral sex

Symptoms:
Burning feeling during urination, discharge from penis and vagina, pain in lower abdomen, painful sexual intercourse in women, pain in male testicles.
Throat symptoms include painful swallowing, cough, and fever.
(3 weeks before symptoms show)

Chlamydia is spread through any sexual intercourse.
Vaginal, anal, oral, and outercourse.

If you wait too long to treat it can cause the following:
Females- develop PID (pelvic inflammatory disease, infertility, pass to children during birth.
Males- spread to prostate gland, (lots of pain)

Chlamydia can be treated with antibiotics.

(It can be passed to your children during birth.)
