- The story begins with Randy the Red Panda, .
- he's an outsider in the animal kingdom
- He looks like a raccoon, is a panda and behaves like a squirrel

- he hoards all his bamboo toys, they are very good.
- He loves to play by himself and never want to share.

- He always kept all his toys in a secret place under his rug in his room

- One day he left his house to go buy new toys for his collections

- unfortunately Marty the mule was in town...and he was known for playing pranks

- Randy had also forgot to lock the door, and Marty, sneering,
- went to see what Randy had in his house

- Marty came in and
- walked forward without looking and slipped on a banana peel.

- Marty got up and put his hand down and that slipped on the banana pill then he landed on a bump in the rug.
- He lifted up the rug, and was delighted by what he saw underneath

- there were dozens and dozens of bamboo toys! And filled with greed, he took all of them, and left the house

- Randy came back to his house, and was shocked
- to find that the bump in his carpet had disappeared!

- He yelled out in despair because his precious
- toys had been taken from him, and went to see the town police

- The police could not find out who did it, and Randy was sad

- meanwhile, Ela the elephant was carrying a baby toward Randy's house .
- suddenly Ella laid down and never woke up
- Her baby girl Elizabeth tried to wake her mom up, but she wouldn't.
- Elizabeth had nothing else to do, and it was cold outside, so she went into Randy's house

- Elizabeth was really cold, so she hid under Randy's rug. Randy came home,
- and he accidentaly tripped over the rug

- he was surprised to find a little girl under the rug, and didn't know what to do.
- He couldn't find the baby's mother outside

- so he went to the police, and asked them what to do.
- They said he could keep the baby if he wanted, and so he did

- they had fun together and lived happy ever after
