What is Child labour?

13% of the Worlds children aged 4-15 are employed.

Most of these children live in Africa or Asia.

The global number of child laborers has decreased since 2000 from 246 million to 168 million children.

Around 150 million of these children are involved in hazardous work.

Child labour can be very dangerous and causes many children to get injured or maybe even killed.

Causes of Child Labour

  • Poverty
  • Limited access to education
  • control of workers rights

Most of the children involved in child labour are living in extreme poverty. Some of these children rely on their little pay to provide for their families.

In 2006, 75 million children were not in school.

This limits their chances of possibly getting a paid job in the future.

Inform. Tell others about child labour and the dangers of it.

It is a sin to despise one’s neighbor, but blessed is the one who is kind to the needy.
