WHAT CAUSES IT

  • Virus
  • Contact with an infected person
  • Days before blisters appear
  • Remains contagious until blisters have crusted over

SYMPTOMS OF THE DISEASE

  • Slight fever
  • Cold-like symptoms
  • Followed by a rash

THE PREVALANCE OF THE DISEASE (HOWN MANY PEOPLE WERE AFFECTED)

  • Contagious viral infection
  • Over 90% people get during childhood

THE RANGE OF THIS DISEASE (HOW IS THIS DISEASE DISTRIBUTED)

  • It is distributed everywhere
  • Started everywhere as well the same

THE SEVERITY OF THE DISEASE

  • Most children with chicken pox completely recover
  • Can be serious for pregnant woman,babies,adults,& adolescents
  • 4 million people sick more than 10,500 hospitilizations and 100-150 deaths per year

HOW IS THE DISEASE DISTRIBUTED TO HUMANS

  • The virus spreads throughout air,sneezing,coughing,breathing,touching

WHEN DID THE DISEASE FIRST APPEAR IN HUMANS

  • 1600s and later in 1767 a physician proved it was different from small pox
