Homes

The Cherokee lived in Wattle and daub houses with thatched roofs they often had palisades around their village.

Transportation


Cherokee people traveled in dug out canoes and dogs they carved there canoes by rubbing them with rocks most canoes were made of birch trees

Tools and Weapons


The Cherokee people were war clubs, tomahawks, battle hammers, knives, bows and arrows, spears and axes. Tomahawks were made of wood, like ash or hickory. Tied to a sharp piece of rock with rope.

Clothing

Cherokee men wore breechcloths with leggings, women had skirts made out of woven fiber or animal skin. They all wore shoes called moccasins.

Artwork


The Cherokee made basketry, pottery, carvings, bead working, finger weaving, and tribal masks.
They used materials such as river cane, clay, wood, and stone.

The Cherokee lived in an area where the summers were hot, and humid, the winters are very cold, and it was often rainy and cloudy.
