• There are lots of cultural regions in the world.

FUNCTIONAL REGION

• region that retains specific characteristics within a given geographical area
• There are lots of functional regions in the world.

PERCEPTUAL REGION

• constructs that reflect human feelings and attitudes about areas
• There are lots of perceptual regions in the world.

LANGUAGE

• communication by voice in the distinctively human manner
• I will take a language next year.

RELIGION

• beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe
• There are many religions all over the world.

GOVERNMENT

• the governing body of persons in a state, community
• The government recently went on a shutdown.

EDUCATION

• the science or art of teaching
• I am currently getting an education

CUSTOMS

• a practice so long established that it has the force of law.
• Some religions have some very serious customs
