culture

  • definition: the beliefs, customs, arts, etc., of a particular society, group, place, or time
  • sentence: there are many different cultures around the world.

animism

  • definition: the belief that all plants, animals, and objects have spirits
  • sentence: the practice of animism revolves on living things that are not humans.

HINDUISM

  • definition: A diverse body of religion, philosophy, and cultural practice native to and predominant in India.
  • sentence: Hinduism is one of the biggest religions in the world.

Buddhism

  • definition: The teaching of Buddha that life is permeated with suffering caused by desire
  • sentence: Buddhism is a very strict religion.

Judaism

  • definition: The monotheistic religion of the Jews, tracing its origins to Abraham.
  • sentence: the religion of Judaism was highly prosecuted during the holocaust.
