PRESENTATION OUTLINE

CONSTITUTION

  • A body of fundamental principles or established precedents according to which a state or other organization is acknowledged to be governed.

CONSTITUTIONAL MONARCH

  • A form of democratic government in which a nonpolitical monarch acts as head of state within the boundaries of a constitution, whether written or unwritten.

POLITICAL PARTY

  • A type of political organization.

REVOLUTION

  • A forcible overthrow of a government or social order in favor of a new system.

DIRECT DEMOCRACY

  • A form of democracy in which people decide (e.g. vote on, form consensus on, etc.) policy initiatives directly,

REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY

  • A variety of democracy founded on the principle of elected officials representing a group of people, as opposed to direct democracy.

CENCORSHIP

  • The suppression of speech or other public communication which may be considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive, politically incorrect or inconvenient as determined by a government, media outlet or other controlling body.

EXECUTIVE

  • Having the power to put plans, actions, or laws into effect.
