PRESENTATION OUTLINE

I is for Idol. Johnny idolizes anyone who has been gallant. This includes people like Dally, who risked his life in the church fire, and people in books. He was happy when people thought he was Gallant like Dally for saving the people in the fire.

J is for Johnny. Johnny is the second youngest in the group, yet still gets the most repsect out of the group. He is the gangs pet. But at home his parents hate and disrespect him. Also, the Socs beat him to death once.

K is for Kids. When the church was on fire kids were trapped inside. Dally and Johnny saved the kids. The kids in the church helped Johnny almost clear his name and made Dally and Johnny heros.

L is for Love. Cherry was in love with Bob. She met Dally and said he never wanted to meet him again. She was afraid of falling in love with Dally.

M is for Mother. There was a lot of mommy problems in these chapters. Johnny doesn't want to see his mom after the fire because he is just going to get yelled at. His mother is upset, and Johnny wishes she loved him.

N is for Newspaper. Johnny is very happy when he gets his name in the newspaper. It makes him feel Gallant. He is very proud of himself.

O is for Outsider. Ponyboy feels like an outsider because he likes movies and reading while no one else does. Cherry also feels like and outsider because she is more of a Greaser than a Soc.

P is for Ponyboy. Ponyboy is the main character. He has no parents, and he doesn't really like fighting. He is the youngest in the gang, and the smartest too.

Q is for quit. After the fire, Pony talks to Randy about Bob. Randy is very upset at Bobs death but also opened his eyes. He realized that the fighting is stupid and said he is gonna stop and not fight ever again.
