How this bronze sword was used was by soldiers in war, they didden't have guns so they used swords and shields.
The sword was a tool in the technology section.

And actually why they used bronze was because it was a new invention and the Shang was the most powerful because of the bronze and nobody knew how it was made.

The tortuous shell (found on previous page) was what people of the Shang dynasty used to write on, they used also animal bones and other items.
