SCHOOLS OF THOUGHT We did not want the documents to appear to be from one school of thought or philosophy. Some exercises have been created to satisfy the curriculum.The teacher may substitute other exercises that accomplish the same goal, or request that we post more exercises.
GOING BEYOND In no way should these documents limit the teacher in the scope of his/her curriculum. For example, the curriculum calls for the woodwinds to learn at least four two octave scales by the end of the year. We did not specify which four. The teacher may teach all twelve if he or she chooses.
