ANIMAL CELL

ELISHA RIVERA

NUCLEUS

  • The nucleus controls the cell.

RIBOSOMES

  • A ribosome's function is to manufacture proteins.

ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM

  • The membrane that is the site for protein and lipid synthesis.

GOLGI APPARATUS

  • Modifies, sorts, and packages proteins into vesticles.

VACUOLES

  • A vacuole's function is to store materials in the cytoplasm.

LYSOSOMES

  • Digest excess or worn-out organelle, food particles, bacteria, and virus

CENTRIOLES

  • Aid in cell division.

MITOCHONDRIA

  • Converts glucose and other fuel into energy.

CELL WALL

  • Surrounds plasma membrane and protects/supports

CHLOROPLAST

  • Capture light and convert to chemical energy.
  • Plant cells not animal cells.

CILIA OR FLAGELLA

  • Protects outside of plasma membrane.
