A CELL IS THE SMALLEST AND MOST STRUCTURAL COMPONENT IN A ORGANISM.

EXPLANATION OF CELL THEORY

BASICALLY THE CELL THEORY IS THE THEORY THAT ALL LIVING THINGS COME FROM CELLS AND ALSO THE FACT THAT ALL CELLS CAME FROM PRE-EXISTING CELLS.

CELL MEMBRANE (PLASMA MEMBRANE)

A LAYER THAT SURROUNDS THE CYTOPLASM OF A CELL, IT PROTECTS THE CELL BY ONLY ALLOWING ONLY CERTAIN THINGS INSIDE THE CELL. IT IS IN ALL CELLS.

ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM

ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM IS A NETWORK OF TUBULES AND FLATTENED SACS. FOLDS PROTIEN MOLECULES INTO THESE SACS AND ALSO THE TRANSPORT OF SYNTHESIZED PROTIENS. IT'S FORMED IN EUKARYOTES AND PROKARYOTES.

GOLGI APPARATUS

THE GOLGI APPARATUS TAKES CARE OF FUNCTIONS SUCH AS PROCESSING OF PROTEINS GENERATED IN ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM. FOUND IN EUKARYOTIC CELLS.

RIBOSOMES

TYPICALLY COMPOSED OF TWO SUBUNITS, ONE SUBUNIT BEING LARGE AND THE OTHER SUBUNIT BEING SMALL. THEY MAKE PROTIENS. FOUND IN EUKARYOTES AND PROKARYOTES.

MITOCHONDRIA

MITOCHONDRIA ARE BOUNDED BY A DOUBLE MEMBRANE, FOUND IN EUKARYOTIC CELLS. THEY ACT AS A DIGESTIVE FUNCTION THEY TAKE IN NUTRIENTS, AND BREAK THEM DOWN. FOUND IN EUKARYOTES.

NUCLEUS

A MEMBRANE BOUND STRUCTURE FOUND IN THE MIDDLE OF EUKARYOTIC CELLS. THE NUCLEUS REGULATES ALL CELL ACTIVITY.

NUCLEOLUS

LOCATED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NUCLEUS THIS ORGANELLE IS FOUND IN EUKARYOTIC CELLS. TRANSCRIBES RIBOSOMAL RNA.

VACUOLE

A CAVITY FOUND IN THE CYTOPLASM OF A CELL THAT HAS FLUID INSIDE OF IT. IT'S FOUND IN EUKARYOTES.

LYSOSOME

LYSOSOMES ARE ORGANELLES THAT ARE LOCATED IN THE CYTOPLASM AND ARE USED IN THE DIGESTIVE PROCESS. FOUND IN EUKARYOTIC PLANT CELLS.

CHROMOSOMES

AN ORGANELLE THAT CONTAINS DNA AND ARE FOUND IN EUKARYOTIC CELLS. BUILDS PROTIENS AND HELP IN CELL DIVISION.

CELL WALL

FOUND IN EUKARYOTIC CELLS, ONLY PLANT CELLS, THIS ORGANELLE IS USED TO SHIELD THE WHOLE CELL. ALSO FOUND INSIDE BACTERIA.

CHLOROPLASTS

AN ORGANELLE THAT MAKES FOOD. IT IS ONLY FOUND IN PLANT CELLS AND IS FOUND IN EUKARYOTIC CELLS.
