CELL ANALOGIES

The plasma membrane is like the car door because the plasma membrane controls what goes in and out of the car

The ECU is like the nucleus of a car. The nucleus is like the control center of the brain.

The cytoskeleton helps keep the shape and helps the cell parts move so it is like the body of the car

The engine of the car is like the mitochondria because that's where the gas is converted into energy and makes it run giving it the power

The PCM is like the chromosomes of the car. Chromosomes carry information throughout the cell.

The Golgi apparatus is like the filters because they transport fuel and air around a car like GA transports lipids and lysosomes

Lysosomes are like fuel being put into the car because it breaks down to make the car run and fuel easier to be used in engine

Ribosomes is where proteins are made like the combustion chamber where fuel gets turned into power

The vacuole is like the trunk or the engine bay because it stores material for the car to function

The wires and pipes of the car are like the endoplasmic reticulum because they carry materials, ER forms a passageway which proteins and other materials are carried from one part to another.
