  • In 1954 Vietnam split into communist north and democratic south.
  • The war also included America and Australia.
  • America supported democrats.
  • America always hated the communism so they sent many soldiers to Vietnam.
  • Many American soldiers died due to diseases.

  • The North Vietnam won the war.
  • The country came together as a whole.
  • America took a big loss in terms of soldiers.
  • Ngo Diem who ruled South Vietnam was assassinated because of his ruthlessness.
  • Diem was killed, North and South Vietnam came together as a whole again.

  • It was a huge celebration for them in May 1963.
  • President Johnson was the main person who wanted communism to stop thats why U.S. got involved.
  • During the Vietnam war, North Vietnamese attacked two U.S. destroyers.
  • U.S. started bombing Northern Vietnam railroads.
  • Johnson tried to Americanise the Vietnam war.
