  • Imperialism contributed to the beginning of WWI by causing tension between European nations competing for land

Alliance

  • An alliance is when members help each other reach a goal
  • Alliances contributed to the beginning of WWI by involving other countries that may not have been involved in the first place

  • Militarism is when a government wants their country to become a strong force militarily

  • Nationalism contributed to the beginning of WWI because many European nations believed they were the best country and therefore caused tension

  • Because of the alliances now different countries must join to help in WWI
