HURRICANE SANDY

Hurricane Sandy (unofficially known as "Superstorm Sandy") was the deadliest and most destructive hurricane of the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season, as well as the second-costliest hurricane in United States history.

Hurricane sandy hit the east coast of the United States, it hit the east cost in 2012 and started as a tropical wave in the western Caribbean

During the event In the United States, Hurricane Sandy affected 24 states, including the entire eastern seaboard from Florida to Maine and west across the Appalachian Mountains to Michigan and Wisconsin, with particularly severe damage in New Jersey and New York. $68 billion (2012 USD). At least 233 people were killed along the path of the storm in eight countries and leaving about possibly more than 200,000 homeless.

The Hurricanes characteristic are big, fast, damaged a lot of things, lasted for a long time, and caused many problems

BEFORE AFTER

During and after the hurricane streets and houses were full of water. A flood that will put many people homeless

People that lived were the hurricane hit suffered very bad because if there house wasn't destroyed of flying objects from the hurricane there house was flooded, other organisms like birds, insects, or other organisms suffered the same way and most organisms probably died as well from the hurricane

The after math was terrible many non living things suffered as well, the famous jersey shore that many people visit a year was destroyed as well as people's houses

Finally after the tragedy biodiversity didn't change that much but it did change a little because people were still homeless with no food or water so people came together and helped one another to restore equilibrium
