  • First born, and only Male child in a family of three
  • 5 years and 2 months old
  • Nigerian
  • Has 2 younger sisters.
  • Has neurological and mental retardation.

Sele yengi

  • Son of a barely literate father, and a very busy working mother.
  • Reversed big brother role as he is being taken care of by his immediate younger sister and the house-help.

Communication disorders

  • Language delay manifested
  • Dysfluency in speech through stuttering
  • Orofacial Myofunctional Disorder
  • Unilateral Vocal Cord Paralysis
  • Apraxia of Speech
  • Velopharyngeal Dysfunction

Management and treatment

  • Speech therapy for stuttering.
  • No treatment for UVCP.
  • Speech therapy for Apraxia.
  • Surgery for VPD and OMD
