Why does Caritas help Peru?
Caritas helps Peru because although Peru has lots of natural landmarks, there is a high level of poverty and children are 4 times more likely to die in their first 5 years of living than Australia. School enrolments are also really low. Peru has evolved in many ways all thanks to Caritas.

How does Caritas help Peru?
Caritas helps Peru by teaching people that are suffering from poverty how to grow crops and fresh produce for their needs so they sell it in order to bye basic groceries and so they don't suffer anymore. They don't just give random people money.

• He is a farmer from Andean village in Peru.
• He relies on the rain to water his crops.
• Him and 14 other farmers in his community took part in
• the Rural Development Program ran by Caritas Australia's

What are some ways that we can help this country with our time and talent?
We can put our our time and talent into helping these people by going to Peru and running clinics to teach those farmers on how to maintain a sustainable farm to have a life they can be happy about and enjoy.
