Interacts effectively in a group setting

  • Soccer is a team sport, there is 11 people from the same team on the field.
  • My team has to work together to score a goal.

Uses leadership skills to influence others

  • There is always a captain on a soccer team. This is the leader of the team.
  • The captain helps out my teammates and never gives up on my team. And they encourage them.

Understands personal strengths and weaknesses

  • Every player on my team in soccer knows there strength and weakness.
  • And they practice 3 times a week to make that weakness into a strength.

Engages in effective problem solving process

  • During halftime my soccer team talks about the first half and how it went.
  • For example: if my team is losing, we figure out what the problem is and what we need to do to fix it so we will win.

Understands budgeting

  • Soccer is a very expensive sport
  • You need to pay for your club, uniform, cleats, socks, shinguards, soccer bag, and soccer ball.
  • What I do is buy cleats and shinguards and keep them for two to three years so I save money.
  • And for my soccer bag/ball I keep it until I really need a new one.
