HISTORY AND BACKGROUND

  • 60 years and still counting
  • In 1863 , Edward Hingston walked in to a hotel and started bartending.
  • Jerry Thomas created a recipe book in the 1800s.
  • Frank Blec was one of a black bartenders in hotels in the late 1800s.

EDUCATION AND SCHOOLING

  • All you need is a high school degree.
  • Must be 18 and over to serve alcohol.
  • 40 hours of studying and training.
  • Must attend any bartending schools offered.
  • Other jobs related to this are waitress,food service,and waiters.

CONCLUSION

  • This career is very important because most bars need this career for them to make lots of money. A lot of hotels and bars and especially restaurant use bartending or bartenders to help out the waiters and waitresses and lots of people love this career in our society.
  • Bartending would be a good career for me because they do a lot just to make people come and stay happy and they offer a lot too and have a great working environment.
