It also includes related professional, technical and educational services.

PATHWAYS

-Animal Systems
This diverse Career Cluster prepares learners for careers in the planning, implementation, production, management, processing, and/or marketing of agricultural commodities and services, including food, fiber, wood products, natural resources, horticulture, and other plant and animal products. It also includes related professional, technical and educational services.

-Wildlife Technician- HCU
Wildlife technicians tag and track animals in the wild to learn more about them. Their job is in many places. They go from the forest, their office, to many more outdoor places. The most they make in a year is $80,000 a year. The average they make is about $39,000 a year.

-Agribusiness Systems
Agribusiness is the coordination of all activities that contribute to the production, processing, marketing, distribution, financing and development of agricultural commodities and resources. This includes food, fiber, wood products, natural resources, horticulture, and other plant and animal products and services. Agribusiness is a high-tech industry that uses satellite systems, computer databases and spreadsheets, biotechnology and many other innovations to increase efficiency and profitability.

AGRIBUSINESS SYTEM CAREERS

  • Farmer
  • Landman
  • Technical Sales Representative

-Farmer- HCU
Farmers grow many different crops. Also they sometimes sell their product to markets. Their work environment is outside in the fields or in an office making phone calls to customers. A great farmer could make up to $100,000 a year. The average they make is $40,000 a year.

-Landman-CU
Landmen graph and sketch routes and sites on maps. They work in their office or out on the site. The most they make is $100,000 a year. The average they make is $60,000

-Technical Sales Representative-CU
In this job, workers travel around talking to customers about their product. These workers are in offices or on the go. The most they make is $100,000 a year. The average they make is $71,000 a year.

-Environmental Service System
People who work in the Environmental Service Systems pathway are involved in water and air pollution control, recycling, waste disposal and public health issues. Environmental engineers and technicians conduct hazardous-waste management studies, evaluate the significance of the hazard, offer analysis on treatment and containment, and develop regulations to prevent mishaps. They design municipal sewage and industrial wastewater systems. They analyze scientific data, research environmental projects and perform quality control checks.

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE SYSTEM CAREERS

  • Environmental Technician
  • Forest Firefighter
  • Solar Energy Tech

-Environmental Technician-CU
In this job, workers take air, soil, and water samples to see what the pollution level is. These workers work out in the fields and in the labs taking and testing the results. The most this job makes is $80,000 a year. The average is $25,000-$70,000 a year.

-Forest Firefighter-HCU
Forest firefighters simply fight forest fires and try to help prevent it. They work in the forest fighting fires and looking in the forest for areas that could start one. In one year, the most they could make is $80,000. The average they make is $45,000 a year.

-Solar Energy Tech-CU
These people design solar panels for clients that need suitable systems. These workers work both indoor and outdoor working with the solar cells. In this job, the most they make is $80,000 a year. The average they make depends on if you are self employed and your education.

-Food Products and Processing System
People who work in the Food Products and Processing pathway discover new food sources, analyze food content and develop ways to process, preserve, package or store food according to industry and government regulations. They create new food products to meet consumer needs and inspect food-processing areas to ensure that sanitation, safety, quality and waste management standards are met.

FOOD PRODUCT AND PROCESSING SYSTEM CAREERS

  • Agriculture Engineer
  • Bio technologist
  • Quality Controller

-Agriculture Engineer-U
Agriculture Engineers design structures for agricultural use. These workers work inside, in offices, labs, and outside. The most these workers make is $120,000 a year. The average they make is $71,000 a year.

-Bio Technologist-U
Design and conduct experiments to improve food, drugs, and other products. These workers work indoors in labs. These scientists can make up to $100,000+ a year. The average they make depends on their experience and education.

-Quality Controller-CU
These workers inspect machines and processes used to manufacture goods. They work indoors, in an office, or in a factory. Workers can make up to $100,000 a year. The average is $50,000

-Natural Resource Systems
People who work in the Natural Resource Systems pathway perform a variety of tasks from helping to develop, maintain, and manage the forest and natural environment to catching and trapping various types of marine life for human consumption, animal feed, bait and other uses. Forest and rangelands supply wood products, livestock forage, minerals and water; serve as sites for recreational activities; and provide habitats for wildlife. Conservation scientists and foresters manage, develop, use and help protect these and other natural resources.

NATURAL RESOURCE SYSTEM CAREERS

  • Toxicology
  • Forestry Technician
  • Conservation Officer

-Toxicology-U
These workers conduct lab tests to identify and analyze toxic substances. They work mainly indoors in labs. Workers can make up to $100,000. The average they make mostly depends on their experience.

-Conservation Officer-CU
These workers make hunting and fishing laws, and arrest offenders. They work outside most of the time in any kind of weather. The most they make is $60,000 a year. The average they make is $49,000 a year.

-Plant Systems
People who work in the Plant Systems pathway study plants and their growth. This helps producers of food, feed and fiber crops continue to feed a growing population while conserving natural resources and maintaining the environment. Individuals in this pathway also develop ways to improve the nutritional value of crops and the quality of seeds. They use genetic engineering to develop crops resistant to pests and drought.
