REVERSING FALLS

(MY LANGUAGE ARTS PROJECT)

It is located in the Saint John river in Saint John,New Brunswick. It was discovered in 1604 by the French explorers.

The tide cycles take about 12 hours and 5 minuets. The water in most rivers flow 3,000 to 9,000 feet per second. The reversing falls goes 100,000 feet per second.

The bridge over the falls is 1,220 feet in length.

CURRENT EVENT

A Canadian war museum bought the Victoria cross for $42,000 in a auction. It’s called the Colin Barron’s Victoria cross.

It is a testament to one soldier’s courage and a symbol of the service and sacrifice of Canadian soldiers who fought on the western front.

It’s one of the rarest medals in the world and the highest military honor by the UK. The auction was held in England and the medal will now stay in Canada. This article (when it happened) was on December 5.
