PRESENTATION OUTLINE

HYPOTHESIS:

I THINK A PERSON CAN RUN FASTER ON CONCRETE.

Untitled Slide

  • An average person can run 8:15 on
  • grass and 7:50 on concrete.
  • The difference is about 20 seconds.

Untitled Slide

  • Grass slows you down because it's
  • a thicker surface and provides too much
  • friction. You can't get much grip on
  • grass so you could possibly fall. Grass
  • has more incline and is also a better workout.

Untitled Slide

  • You can run much faster on a hard surface
  • than a soft surface. The harder the surface,
  • the better the speed. You have lots of grip
  • on concrete and better control. Hard surfaces
  • gets your legs to have more bounce.

Untitled Slide

  • Even thought running on concrete is faster than
  • running on grass, it has it's faults. Running on
  • concrete is hard on your legs, shins, ankles, ect.
  • To get better results running on grass, pick up
  • your feet higher on every stride.
