PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Calvinism

  • Invented by John Calvin in the 1500s
  • Predetermination- people are born either saved or not and there's nothing they can do to change it.
  • A branch of christianity

Total Depravity (also known as Total Inability and Original Sin)

Unconditional Election

Limited Atonement (also known as Particular Atonement)

Irresistible Grace

Perseverance of the Saints (also known as Once Saved Always Saved)

Total Depravity

  • The idea that people are born all sinful
  • People can not do good

Unconditional Election

  • God chooses who he wants to save
  • Anything you do does not effect his decisions

Limited Atonement

  • Jesus's sacrifice could pay for the whole world's sin
  • Yet it only works in the selected few.

Irresistible Grace

  • The chosen people cannot refuse coming to God.

Perseverance of Faith

  • The chosen people's salvation is secure
  • Nothing the people do can undo their salvation
