Relationship with native Americans

The native Americans gave the leftover foods to cabeza such as berries rats,roots,snakes,and spiders so he would't die.

Cabeza also preformed surgery on a fellow indian friend when a arrow was in his right shoulder and gave him two stitches with a deer bone and two days later he was healed.

Survival skills

When Cabeza de Vaca was traveling through the desert he had to stay by rivers and store the water in hollowed out horse legs

Cabeza de Vaca dug a hole for shelter (hiding from animals) Cabeza had four different Indian languages plus sign language for not getting killed.

Success as a healer

Cabeza de Vaca had cut open the injured man grab the arrow out and with a deer bone Cabeza gave him two stitches and two days later he was healed.

Cabeza de Vaca had to use his military training and resources such as deer bones,and a knife to cut open the man.
