Student move beyond the classroom
Students move outside the classroom. Creating projects that inspire them building a deeper connection with content.

Essential Question
- How can reading books such as Wonder, promote social change?
- What causes social change?
The Project
- Student will have completed the Novel Wonder, by Using one of the themes from the novel WONDER, R.J. Palacio
- Using one of the themes from the novel WONDER, students will create a project demonstrating how reading Wonder has given them a different “lens” to view their world and how they will use this new perspective to promote social change?
Students select a theme from the novel Wonder
Working in small groups students will create a plan of action, identify roles, choose a platform, and create a timeline.
The Process
- Students will develop their plan of action
- present Plan to teacher through formal interview process-teacher will provide feedback
- Document their learning through Padlet daily, assessing their progress
- Meet Checkpoints at day 3, 5, 8 & 10
- Use feedback to edit product
