We started out looking for people we could trust. I (Macy) suggested my dad, who owns a business with two other guys and has decades of experience. Cassie suggested a financial professional who she knows. We both talked on the phone to them, since driving to meet with them face to face was not possible.

On Tuesday September 9th we talked to Stan Ens. He talked about some challenges and each of those things having an effect. He faces each challenge every day, proving that owning your own business is a constant struggle.

On Wednesday September 10th we spoke to Erenia Rivera who works as a financial consultant for a transportation company in northern california. She spoke about specific challenges that more likely occur during the end of their yearly audit. She has to make sure they don't go over budget, also when there is an accident or repair they have to makre sure they have enough to pay that back. It is a stressful time for all who work there but they can get through it as long as the teamwork aspect of it is solid and communication is strong.

Challenges:

-the balance between work and family, the struggle of not letting the business overcome life.

-Buying supplies to make other projects but not have been paid yet for the project

-Wanting hard workers, who will show up and not steal from you

-keeping life going and not get behind on health or family.

Erenia Rivera:

-not going over budget
-collecting funds
-payments for accidents
-avoiding a price increase for bus fare.
Effects:
-stress
-controlled chaos
-late nights

with different businesses and people with their own issues, its hard to think of ideas that will work for everyone involved.
-Communication, being able to share ideas and issues in a mature and professional way
-Teamwork, being able to put differences aside and working with other people
