MISSION

Networking made better, faster, and more fun.
We're here at PlugIN to improve F2F networking at the event industry. We believe digital technology has not been used to it's fullest potential at networking events. So our aim is to make every participant leave the event feeling like they were productive in making meaningful connections.

A 2012 Economic Significant Study showed that there are nearly 11,000 trade shows and 280,000 conferences and conventions in the US. With the addition of smaller social networking events, we are looking at a market size close to 100M participants just in the US.

What's the market opportunity? Define market, size, target client.

2012 Economic Significance Study showed that there are 1,83M corporate meetings, trade shows, conventions, congresses, and other networking events taking place in the US resulting in $280 billion in direct spending.

• With over 13,000 trade shows, conferences, expositions, private and business-to-business events in North America, featuring 1.5 million exhibiting companies vying for the attention of over 80 million attendees, it can be daunting to select where your efforts are best spent. However, there is a method to help you find the best opportunities to market your organization at trade shows.
• The average trade show has over 400 exhibitors.

Why does exhibit design matter? Because well-designed trade show booths are so effective at cutting through the trade show clutter and getting your message to your target audience. The average trade show attendee will spend 7 to 8 hours on the floor over a period of 2 to 3 days visiting an average of 25-31 exhibits. This leaves 5 to 15 minutes per visit – just 5 to 15 minutes to make a lasting impression that will give you an edge over the competition

Create a platform to manage the leads, facilitate a quicker follow-up and follow through, and save on recruiting costs, marketing costs.

PROBLEM

Managing leads efficiently
The main problem that needs to be solved right now? It's exhibitors at these big events who are looking for new leads and establishing existing relationships. In small events, the exhibitor or attendee exchange business cards. It's simple, but when you gather too many contacts, it becomes tedious and can get easily mismanaged at a high intensity and high volume event.

Passing out business cards and handwritten notes are too tedious and can get easily mismanaged at a high volume, high intensity event.

BAR CODE SCANNERS!!!!!!!

That's why the bar code scanner is ubiquitous at these larger events. However, the problem with these antiquated devices are that they are cumbersome and sometime offensive to point and aim people's chest. They are costly, ranging from $400-$1000 dollars, and they don't deliver your contact information until a week later when it might be too late for a followup.

Our Secret Sauce?

Enriching the attendee's experience
Small BLE hardware devices can send push notifications to mobile phones nearby. So exhibitors can push messages directly to prospects. It can attract attendees to your booth or let them know about imminent events like a presentation or flash gathering.

How far in the future will event marketers be utilizing BLE? It's happening now, it's being adopted at very high-profile events like Austin's South By Southwest. In march, SXSW launched a i-beacon power app at their 2014 event. Where beacons were place for attendees to network with other attendees in theirs session and participate in a discussion forum.

Events are industry anomalies where lots of interesting people get together and want to meet each other, by creating mini social networks to connect and talk with people they haven’t met and would be a good match!

Engage IN SpeakING Events

At keynote events, you can measure attendees interest through live surveys by using the clicker device and instant feedback on the fly.

THE EXPERIENCE
Like a leader board for the attendees who make the most connections at the event. Maybe they win a grand prize or get a free invite to a conference party.

Or the exhibitor who gets rewarded for bringing in the most qualified leads to their sales team.

Why?

  • Cost Efficient
  • Less Cumbersome
  • Data Metrics On Customer behavior
  • Increase company brand exposure
  • Increase participant interactivity
PlugIN is re-imagining the way exhibitors and attendees interact at networking events. With our innovative and simple software and social media networking solutions, we are eliminating paper waste, boosting meaningful connections, and generating higher quality leads more efficiently.

Networking events are evolving away from old technology devices that look antiquated and are cumbersome into more mobile solutions. Bar code scanners can be pricey. We plan to be 1/5 that price with more capabilities.

People forget about the shipping and printing of brochures and pamphlets. You can distribute rich digital media content.

Always wonder if your information provided is clear to your potential customers?

Keep track of the demographic for which customer interest

Distribute rich marketing blasts to the attendees near-by to create buzz.

Exhibitor:
-Device attracts new potential customers.
-Data analytics on attendees who visited your booth.
(Story: visitors come and go without being identified. Visitors skim the outside of your booth but never proactively engage with your brand. Paper brochures are a hassle to carry around and are usually never looked at again. Always wonder if your information provided is clear to your potential customers?)
- Keep track of the demographic for which customer interest
- Keep Track of which sales people the attendees met.
-Quicker follow-ups and better managing of contact information.
- send out automatic email blast follow-ups.
