PRESENTATION OUTLINE

R is for River.
After the city starts a manhunt on Montag, he runs and floats down a River while drinking alcohol and dousing himself in alcohol. The River symbolizes Montag's serenity and Montag's new sense of freedom now that he has escaped from society. The River is also the path that leads Montag to the hobos of Hardvard.

S is for Symbols
In Fahrenheit 451 there are many things that are metaphorical symbols. For example the river symbolizes Montag's new life or the rebirth of himself. Also the war is symbol and a parallel to Montag's internal battle with himself.

T is for temptation.
Guy Montag is tempted to steal books and read them. After he watches a lady be burned alive he wonders what could be so great about books that you would die for them? Montag steals the books and reads them and memorizes them so he can read them back to the hobos of Harvard just in case they ever need them.

U is for unalienable.
Unalienable means that something cannot be taken away. In Fahrenheit 451 knowledge can't be taken away. Books can't be taken away. Emotions and wonder cannot be taken away. The hobos of Harvard proves, Clarisse proves , Faber proves , and Montag proves that the government cannot and will not control what we can and cannot know.

V is for veracity.
Veracity means that you observe the truth, or appreciate accuracy. In Fahrenheit 451 all montag wants is to know what's so special about books. Unfortunately that causes him his home, his wife Millie, his friend Clarisse, and his used to be friend Beatty. Montag starts noticing all the little pieces of history people don't really want you to know. He notices the demented way that society acts and wants to make a change to that.

We is for Weary.

Being weary is being physically or mentally exhausted and fatigued. When Montag first start reading books he doesn't have a clue what they mean. So he stays up and reads and reads every chance he gets. He will memorize the books ((or book) or Ecclesiastes ) and remember it just in case the hobos of Harvard need him to recite it.

Y is for youth
In Fahrenheit 451 Clarisse is described with the word "white" and "pure" multiple times. This is to represent her youth or innocence throughout the book.

Z is for zealous
Being zealous is being very enthusiastic or encouraged to do something. In this book Montag is very determined to read books and plant books in fire mans houses so that they would burn down. Montag was excited to burn down the system from the inside out.
