Characters

  • Harold is a dog and he loves to eat. Harold is also the narrator.
  • Chester is the cat who loves to read. He also thinks Bunnicula is a vampire.
  • Bunnicula is the bunny who loves to suck juice out of things.
  • Toby is the younger brother to Pete. Toby found Bunnicula at the movies.
  • Pete is the older brother to Toby. On Friday nights Pete gets to read.
  • Mr. Monroe is the college professor. He is the one who was carrying Bunnicula
  • Mrs Monroe is a lawyer and she came up with the name Bunnicula.

Setting
It takes place in the Monroe's house and also the story starts at night.

Summary
The Monroe's found Bunnicula at the movies. They took Bunnicula home. Chester thought Bunnicula was a vampire because he had sharp teeth and an unusual black spot on his back. The next day Toby,Pete,and their parents came down stairs and most of the vegetables were white. They thought it was a blight. Then Chester decided he was going to starve Bunnicula . Harold put Bunnicula in his mouth and brought him to the kitchen to get food. Chester tried to stop him but when he tried to he made a mess. The Monroe's took them to the vet and they all went home and they found out Bunnicula was not a vampire.

All About the Author

James Howe is a multi talented children's author. He was born August 2,1994 in Oneida, New York. His first book was written with his wife in 1979 and the book was Bunnicula : A rabbit tale of mystery.
