PHYSICAL BULLYING

  • Involves the use of physical force
  • Most common in academic institutions
  • Spitting, shoving, kicking, or punching
  • Normally the bully is larger/in a group
  • Done to establish superiority/control

VERBAL BULLYING

  • Involves the use of words
  • Bully tries to verbally upset the victim
  • Taunting and teasing
  • May focus on the following
  • Appearance, lifestyle, intellect, ethnicity

EMOTIONAL BULLYING

  • Bully attacks the victim emotionally
  • Most common in relationships
  • Spreading of rumors
  • Excluding someone from certain activities
  • Refusing to talk to someone

CYBER BULLYING

  • Most common in the modern world
  • The use of technology to bully
  • Rampant on social networking sites
  • Can be difficult to know who the bully is
  • Most bullies don't use their real names

DISABILITY BULLYING

  • Specifically targeting the disabled
  • Normally the physically disabled are bullied
  • Can also extend to other disabilities
  • Autism, cleft lips, and dyspraxia

GAY BULLYING

  • Specifically targets gay individuals
  • Can be physical, emotional, or verbal
  • Refusing to associate/talk to gay people
  • Some individuals who are thought of as gay are bullied

LEGAL BULLYING

  • The use of the legal system to control/punish
  • Targeted on an individual or organization
  • Bombarded by multiple lawsuits
  • Bully can be the victims boss at work

PARENTAL BULLYING

  • One of the most common in the modern world
  • Parents display anger on their children
  • Parents display their insecurities on their children
  • May be physical or emotional

PRISON BULLYING

  • Very common around the world
  • Almost inevitable to happen because...
  • Penal institutions are filled with criminals
  • Happens between inmates
  • Happens between staff and prisoners

  • One of the most common
  • Can be physical, emotional, or verbal
  • Mostly the bully has more than one victim
  • Students witnessing the bullying normally...
  • Avoid intervening/join in

WHAT DOES IT LEAD TO?

  • Bullying can lead to self harm and/or suicide

HOW LONG SOMETHING THEY SAY CAN STAY IN ONE'S MIND.

YOUR WORDS HAVE POWERS.

USE THEM WISELY.

STOP BULLYING.

IT WILL BE WORTH IT TO STAND OUT.
