BUDDHIST MONKS

FOOD

• Can't eat anything that can give life. (Seeds)
• Can't eat between dawn, and mid-day
• Being a vegetarian is encouraged.
• Water isn't counted, and can be consumed at anytime

CLOTHING

• Make their own robes
• Can be dyed, but mainly made of Cotten.

SHELTER

• The simplest of furniture, and quiet.
• May not sleep in the same area as a woman

MEDICINE

• Only allowed to use for illnesses
• Must be offered to them
• Food over Medicine

INAPPROPRIATE ITEMS

• No electronics in general
• Tv's and video entertainment are not allowed
• Can not touch money, can not have another person buy it for you

RELATIONSHIPS

• Sexual behavior
• No physical contact between genders
• Monks need another male present when talking to females
