PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Buddhism's Texts and Locations
Buddhism has no main scripture, but instead has collections of texts.
One of the principal texts, however, is the Tripitaka. It outlines much of a Buddhist's conduct.
Two other books are the Tibetan Book of the Dead, as well as the Dazangjing of Chinese Buddhism.
Buddhism was founded in the 5th century BCE by Siddhartha Gautama, who later became known as the Buddha.
Buddhism started in India, but eventually spread amongst most of East Asia.
