• It's a cycle of life, death, rebirth, and suffering that they hope to escape together.
• Their key belief is that they have to meditate to reach enlightenment.
• Healing comes from the mind.

BACKGROUND KNOWLEDGE

• Formed in the 5th century B.C.E in India
• The name buddah means "the awaken one"
• There seen as a teacher or awakened or who shares the inlight to help eachother
• Its recongnized as the most fastest grwoing religion
• 2 major branches of buddahism is Thervada and Mahanya

• Mahanya is in East Asia (throughout)
• They do believe in the afterlife as in your soul leaves your body
• And enters a new one

Buddha is the fat guy.
Actually the "fat guy" was a Chinese monk that lived in the 9th century.

All Buddhists are bald,
Not all Buddhists are bald, some just shave themselves because it is something less to identify themselves with

All Buddhists meditate
Meditating is associated with Buddhism even though most Buddhists throughout history did not meditate
