  • Buchenwald was the second largest camp ever made
  • It was built in 1937 in the northern slopes of Ettersburg
  • Camp for Jews mentally ill and POW's

BUCHENWALD EXPIREMENTS

  • Buchenwald was a sick place
  • They did expirements on homosexuals to cure homosexuality
  • They also tried to find vaccines from terrible diseases
  • This resulted in fail and killed many people

The Liberation occurred on April 4th,1945. There were so many people there was no time to kill them all so they sent them on death marches. An engineer in the camp contacted the Allies and got help from them. The allies came in and saved people from their death

The picture in the background is 100% real taken when the allies arrived

INTERESTING FACT

  • Buchenwald was probably the most successful in resistance
  • When the allies helped them liberate the camp
  • The inmates held off guards with (1 machine gun and 91 rifles)
  • These were collected over the years
