BrowZine

Journal articles go mobile
University of Huddersfield staff and students now have access to BrowZine.

What is Browzine?

  • App for Android and Apple
  • Browse and read journal articles
  • Content from multiple publishers
  • Save to read offline
BrowZine is an app that consolidates scholarly journals from multiple publishers and platforms into an easily browsable format, optimized for iPhones, iPads or Android tablets.

Current and back issues of journals to 2005 can be browsed by subjects and A - Z title list. Users can add favourite journals on "My Bookshelf" and save articles for future reading, on- and offline.

Getting Started

Download the app to your device

Getting started is easy. From your device, search for BrowZine in the App Store, Google Play or Amazon App store and download it for free.

Select University of Huddersfield and login with your University credentials

Once installed, launch BrowZine, select University of Huddersfield from the drop down list, enter your login details, and start exploring!

Finding things to read

Browse journals by subject

You can browse the journals available via an A-Z list of subjects, or search for a specific title or subject in the search box.

Save to your bookshelves

You can save your favourite journals to your bookshelves, for easy reference and to get alerts when new articles are published.

Create and label your bookshelves

You can create up to four bookcases containing four shelves each, so up to 16 shelves. You can give your bookcases and shelves unique labels - for example, you could label them by subject.

Saving and sharing

Save articles to read offline

When browsing within a journal, you can save specific articles to read offline. These will appear on the "saved articles" tab.

Export to DropBox or other services

You can save articles to other services, such as DropBox or Evernote, to refer to later or share with others.

brought to you by the library
BrowZine is not designed for in-depth research or searching. For that, we recommend Summon or the many databases to which the University of Huddersfield Library subscribes.
