WHAT MAKES UP THIS ALLOY?
This alloy is made up of two different elements, and in a specific percentage.
88% Copper
12% Tin

BRONZE IS SUBSTITUTIONAL
Tin and Copper are near the same size.
The two atoms have similar bonding characteristics.
The chemical properties change when they bond.

FIRST DISCOVERIES
One of the first places was in Bohemia.
It was used as early as 3500 BC!
It was used for tools and weapons.

WHY IS IT USEFUL?
Its very tough!
It has very low friction!
Its very resistant to salt water!

INTERESTING FACTS
It was often used in cannons due to low friction.
Its used in most medals.
Some of our money used to be made of just bronze.
